Okay so a buddy of mine has a CL-S and has a M3 Lip spoiler on it. I was thinking about putting on the max. I dont know someone already makes them for the max or not but i think it would look pretty nice. I haven't seen anyone on the .org with one.

yeah i just checked there website and it doesn't say if it comes color matched or not? The one im looking at is on eBay and the seller has all of Nissan's paint codes to match it near perfectly.

 

i have one, i got it off some website... cant remember. as soon as i repaint the ride ill install it. i paid around 50-60.. i also seen them on ebay believe it or not.

 

hey gaby how does it look on the max? i haven't seen any pictures of it on a maxima. Also does it cover the whole length of the trunk? any pics?

just like the pick above (coverage wise). its polyuerathane (nevermind the spelling) so i left out in the sun so i can see how it looked perfectly shaped. it looks nice, picture a bmw 5 series. it still hasnt been painted or installed but as soon asi paint the car ill post pics. send me your email and ill send you pics of the wing if you need them.

I plan on doing the samething on my Max. I have only seen it on the paradox site my self. I know someone that has it on a 4th gen & it looks real good & can be painted. It's held on w/ 3 mm tape.

 

so i ordered it off ebay from a trusted seller. he said he will paint it to my color code which is KV3 Grey Lustre. It should be here by next week. Ill post up pics onces it installed. I got it for 60 shipped.

 

Thats a good price for a painted. I have been wanting to get this. Will wait for pics from you.

so..your buddy had an "M3" lip spoiler on his CL-S and now you want the "M3" lip spoiler (that was on a CL-S) on your maxima....
so on your car...would it be an M3 lip spoiler? or a CL-S lip spoiler? or a maxima lip spoiler

 

well the m3 lip spoiler is the reference that most people make with this type of spoiler because you mainly see it on the m3s or bmws. I first noticed it on my buddies CL-S and he said it was a m3 lip spoiler style spoiler. Maybe i should have made that clearer. I guess you can call it a maxima lip spoiler. Honestly i was just looking for something to finish the back end of the car because it looks too bland w/o a factory spoiler.

And for those of you requesting pics, they will be up as soon as it is installed.

 

I think getting a factory spoiler will be much better

 

idk, ive always like that looks of the SE 5.5s with the factory spoilers but never the GLE with the spoilers. idk why either? i guess its because of the wheels and the aluminum finish on the GLE wheels.

yeah but thats just me. i mean look at a GLE with a spoiler and a SE with a spoiler. The GLE just looks odd. I guess its because all GLE from factory come w/o a spoiler but a spoiler can be added as an option.

I was thinking about doing this too. Just wasn't sure if the ebay M3 spoiler covered the trunk correctly. Don't want to put anything on my car that looks like it was just thrown on lol.

So I'm definately in for pics since you have the same colored car!

GLE without factory spoiler FTW

 

that lip will be in tomorrow. ill snap some pictures of it w/o it on the car and some with it mocked up on the car before i put it on for good.

I have seen a picture of the lip on a 5th generation.

 

I got one for free a year ago, but I sold it and have yet to see one on the org yet on a 5th gen

 

how does it look? does it flow well with the curvature of the trunk?

Just my opinion, but I would've put it at the very top of the trunk. Instead of where the trunk dips down. Wonder if it would fit correctly?

 

yeah i tried to fit it on the top of the trunk but it was about half inch short on both sides. i called the company and they said that the maxima has a curved trunk so they design it to to fit the very end of the trunk.

 

Looks very nice. Can you take a pic from 30 feet away? Does it have 3M tape that holds it on?

Thanks guys. Its dark out now but ill try to take some pictures tomorrow from far away. They use 3M double sided tape. The best part is, its color matched perfectly. For $60 shipped, im not complaining one bit.

 

never really gave it thought about installing it on the curve, mines (unistalled) sits right on top.
