Farewell Guys!!....My max is gone!!

Sup people! well I never thought I would be saying farewell to such a GREAT forum but I dont think I will be buying another maxima. N-E way, my pearl white baby got totaled the day before halloween! A semi-truck rear ended my car while I was stoppped in traffic(on the expressway) and the impact was sooo hard it sent my car skidding into a concrete median!! I really almost lost my life but thanks to the THE ALMIGHTY above and the SEATBELT, I am here. I really liked my max as it took me about 3 months to find it as it was the first car I bought after I graduated College! Ill miss it!

Injuries: NONE!!!.....i walked away from this mess with a busted lip, jammed finger and semi-burned forearm(from airbag deployment)...

HONESLTY GUYS, MY TESTIMONY IS NOT FOR YOU TO SYMPATHIZE WITH ME ABOUT MY CAR BUT TO TELL YOU ALL, PLEASE WEAR YOU SEATBELTS!!!!....IT REALLY DOES SAVE LIVES!!

I went through a similar thing in late October, got rear-ended and my 626 was totaled. The body shop estimated the speed at impact at around 35 mph but luckily it was a lowered Civic SI and he went under me instead of making solid contact with the back end of my car...but that trashed the exhaust and bent the rear axle. The impact also knocked my car from the right lane sideways across the middle and left lane and I ended up on the left shoulder facing oncoming traffic. All I could think of when I was going sideways was about how many more times I was going to get hit. Lucky for me, drivers other than the one who hit me were paying attention and and had slowed down already.

Anyway, same deal with my car. People on a 626 board wanting to know if I was parting it out. All I could tell them is I could contact Allstate and see where they took the car.

Any reason in particular you aren't getting another Maxima?

well guys its official!!!.....just picked up an 05 TL 6spd w/ navi!!!......even tho the max was my baby, this will do!!......the last 2 cars i had were nissans so i kinda just wanted to get into something different. i searched hi and low for the max as the were really rare at the time i bought it (almost none were around the chicagoland area) and another 5.5 just would be the same. N-e way, thanks again as I have foud a new love. not a love like the max tho. ill post pics when i get a chance and will still be lurking around here. peace!!

the ride in the TL is defintely smoother(cabin is alot quieter) however the suspension is defintely stiffer but i like it. Engine seems to be smoother as well however engine performance is comparable to the max. the handling is also better.
