Quick! Please help save my taillight...

Got this maxima last wednesday, and there has been some condensation inside passenger taillight since I got it. I decided i would try drying it out with a hairdryer from where the lights go in, and see if it came back. Well, while it was de-fogging, I saw the real problem. See the image below...

Thats about an inch and a half of water pooled up in the bottom of the taillight.

Whats the fastest and easiest way to get the taillight out? Its already dark outside, and its going to rain in the AM here tommorow... So i'd like to take care of this asap.

I can properly address this all day friday, but for now I definitely need to get atleast some of that water out of there. It is close enough to the reverse lights that it will slosh around onto it... Any ideas?

why cant you just take the tail light out of the car and dump the water out, its only 4 nuts i think, shouldnt take more than 5mins, bring the harness in check where the leak is from and seal it, maybe its a socket gasket or something

Worse comes to worse you can always drill a small hole in the bottom corner and seal it with a dab of silicone later. The seal that is behind the lamp is usually a caulk type and has to be cut though as you remove the lamp, it is not as quick as it sounds. You will have to get a new strip when you reinstall the lamp.

Yea, I saw the sealant around the back. It's the same stuff used in the 4th gen taillights, you can heat it up and get it off, and re-heat it when putting it back in to make a new seal, but it takes a good deal of time.

Thanks for the input... ive managed to get out some of the water, and ill take out the light on friday
