Might be kind of difficult Bro,
Keep in mind tht you have an overdrive button (with 2 wire electrical pin connectors) on your 2001 and the A33B's (2002-2003) do not. I tried to have the dealership install the 2001 AE Auto shifter (Black Leather and Chrome) in place of the standard Black Leather auto shifter in my 2001 SE. It took 2 days of my technician fiddling with it for him to inform me that the original shifter's shaft was longer that the one installed from the factory on the AE. In the process the wires from the original shifter were broken so the dealership had to replace the original shifter (free of charge) because the AE shifter would not work. I opted to have them install a Frost Leather shifter (found on GLE's with Frost Leather) instead of replacing the Black Leather shifter (Found in SE's or GLE's with Black Leather only). Believe you me, the center console with the Frost Leather shifter has a better color flow and overall look because I have the Frost Leather interior and everything in that area is frost in color. I could have had the dealership intall the AE shifter. However, I would have had to purchase the entire automatic transmission control device in addition to the AE shifter, which wasn't worth the money! Hope this helps.
Respectfully,
