Thank you Sir!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you are. Will warn the wife before I start this project.

I'm only doing a transmission flush so wont be dropping the pan.

I'll however take some pics to confirm which hose to pull off to flush out the torque converter.

Also, I noticed you used Mobil 1, I saw a 10Qt box of Shell Dexron III with mercon for $20.

Can I use that?

FYI, putting the topic in the title helps a lot.

examples -
"Request for updated auto tranny flush link"
"auto tranny flush link"
"auto tranny flush"

Your search - Request for updated auto tranny flush link site:forums.maxima.org - did not match any documents.

auto tranny flush link: No links point to this document provided above

auto tranny flush site:forums.maxima.org: 6 pages of results but none again pointed to this link.

I did search and when nothing else worked I posted. Do you still want to flame me?
peace buddy.

You can use whatever you like to do the flush.. but don't be cheap on your car....... remember $20 today can cost you $2k tomorrow..... IMO....

i didnt say anything about search

FYI, putting the topic in the title helps a lot.

"Request for updated link" tells us nothing and requires everyone to click on the title to see what link is being requested this time. you will get more help if the title actually explains what the thread is about. this isnt just you...lots of people do it.

"have a quick question"....well duh! why else would you start a thread

thank you sir.

Here is my scenario... the car has 156K miles on her actually going to cross 157 sometime this week . All the time the car has been going to the dealer for all these small services(previous owner was rather meticulous to take it on time). I have been now working on it myself since the last yr.

Would it be ok to switch the fluid to mobil one at this age of the car? or shud i just get the oil from nissan dealer?

Switching to Mobile 1 would not be a problem
