suppose both were stock and auto...who will win?

Well, off the line is a no brainer-2.7T has AWD and the auto would allow for a little extra boost buildup for launch (ala Grand National style). I would be willing to bet the good ol' VQ would pull better on the high end and a 6spd Max should run down an auto 2.7T but with equal trannies I'd begrudgingly have to say Audi wins. A run from 60 on up would be great though....

by 2.7T, im assuming the A6? A6 2.7T does 0-60 in around 6.6 so the new auto max would be equal or maybe slower...but no one knows since there has been no official times with a broken-in engine. If you're talking about 2.7T as in the S4...hehe

Well, i have a 02 SE Auto... and got in a race of some sort with this guy on a 2.7T Wagon (Not sure if it's an S4 or A6, A6 i guess).

Anyway, we did it from a redlight and we were pretty much even until i hit second gear (auto shifting) and left him 1/2 - 1 car length. Fortunately me for me the conditions were good so my tires didn't chirp/lose traction as much. Normally on a hard launch i lose 1-2 seconds because of the traction problem + torque steer. But this time i was in luck.

He did get ahead of me from the start but once the Max went, well, it went.

Oh, before that we did it on a roll at round 50mph but it was a no-brainer because we were just dead even (i didn't expect it to end up a race so i didn't gun it, he just caught up with me and stayed on my side while looking at me and we were nearing the intersection). I don't know if he had an auto or manual either.

2.7T A6 weighs 600 pounds more then a 2002 maxima...that will give the maxima the BIG advantage. 2.7T have 250hp BTW
