exhaust tips?

what are some good looking exhaust tips? I was thinking of doing an exhaust but i like the quietness of OEM. I saw a few tips on ebay, any in particular that people here have used? pics would be great. thanks!

Just go to Pep Boys, they have a lot of different tips. Maybe get two 5" long 2.5" diameter tips and bolt or weld them to your stock tips.

answered with one post saying to get magnaflow tips. Im sure there are others out there which different people have tried and may look better. I am not trying to cause any trouble, so please dont take it that way. The other questions i had were answered so i took them down.

search didnt help much either.

to keep the theme of pointless going, ill change the subject

soonerfan... in the first post you did on this thread it states that you have to donate to search, i have donated and can search, but if you dont donate you cant search?
if so that would explain some of the worthless questions on the org

the newbie thread was created for people that want answers but dont want to search. some people think they are too good to use a common thread. like their question is someone better and deserves its own thread.

Here is the tips I got from pepboys. They look pretty good. I don't have it on the car anymore since I got the catback.

Are we assuming that dynos are no longer an acceptable way to measure power?

you have a dyno to prove that a catback increased performance? anything less that 5hp is not considered a real gain. everyone knows that a catback is for sound. the little gains you get are from the b-pipe...not the muffler.

i cut off that ugly piece of metal wrapped around my exhaust tips and stuck 2 pep boys tips on there.. they looked really nice when new, but they get like.. deterioration spots on them kinda fast

excuse the dirtiness.. it just snowed here and the car hasn't been washed yet.. they dont look quite THAT bad when they're clean.. they still have shine to them if you wipe them off.. all in all, i think they look very nice and it's a BIG improvement over stock.. these only cost like... 20 bucks maybe all together? versus those magnaflow tips that will run you over 70 for 2

heres another one when the car is clean.. they're shiny, but you can still see the rust spots:

I am assuming you know nothing...

If you think a 5th Gen Maxima makes any real power from a Cat-Back, you just proved me right.

Besides, Dynos are not as reliable as many people make them out to be. WAY to many variables can change the outcome of a dyno to make reading the "power" increase (3-5whp) reliable.

Also, if you think 3-5whp gain is a performance mod… You really need help.

As Sooner said, they are for sound, not performance.
