Once again, there are no performance gains.

3-5whp is not a performance gain, 15+whp... Now it's something to talk about.

Stop trying to act smart, it's not going to work.

claiming gains from a catback is like claiming gains from an intake

Don't invite him to an intake debate... You know full well that he thinks they are also a "performance part".

Your ricer math is off... That's an easy 30hp.

Give you a hint, you forgot to add for the stickers.

Dear new forum member,

Thank you for your "new and unique" opinion on a subject that has already been discussed in detail.

Unfortunately, you decided not to search and that caused you to post false information that might make you feel embarrassed. I urge you, do not try and save face by "sticking to your guns", or start making things up like; "I am a mechanic, engineer, Donald Trump, so I know what I am talking about".

Please just either admit that you are wrong, or just stop posting.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Upstatemax

I believe I was just suggesting an alternative to the magnaflow tips, because they look somewhat similar.

Maybe it isn't the 15whp you use to quantify a performance part, but nothing about this statement is false. Upstate, not trying to act like anything, think your acting enough like something for all three of us. You guys are really funny though, but just maybe...lets talk about tips

1. you are also new and clearly believe the hype that a catback gives performance gains.
2. the tip question has been answered...way before this thread was even started.

You were wrong, you tried to be a smart with people who know what they are talking about...

Not to mention, a Cattman Cat-Back is not an alternative to tips alone... They don't look similar and the Cattman Cat-Back is much louder than stock (most don't want this), also it's nearly $650 while tips are $70.

My final point will be; people who don't know any better read this forum and god forbid they read your post. They assume the Cattman Cat-Back is a performance mod, they spend $650 on it and realize... Nope, it's just noise. People come on here for accurate information from informed Maxima owners, not BS.

But what if I really, really want 3 more horsepower and don't mind spending $650 on it?

then do it...just dont come in here bragging of gains

for everyone
255 stock
+ 3 (1/2 - 1 at wheels)
= 256-258

that is not a gain you should be claiming. 650 for that little HP? its for sound.

now if you add a bunch of the right things (with a stock muffler) you get between 270-280
