I got a used 02 Max with a header back exhaust, and it's throwing 2 codes. I got the car real cheap because of the problems, I think the kid I got it from was frustrated and wanted to ditch his project. Now I don't know if I should avoid the frustration by putting a stock exhaust in, or if I can put a CAT in that will pass emissions and avoid the trouble. Any advice?

Maybe try figuring out what codes it is throwing, then getting a brand name on the header back system it's got on there now, and reporting back here.
