Well, I am nearing 5kmiles on my Maxima, And YEEEEEEEEES I want to go with synthetic, and please no flames about I sould wait till 10k, or 7.5k, or go with 5k. I have made my decision at 5K, (Yes that is my final answer)

Where do I get this Amsoil oil and what kind of filter should I use, racks of people talk about screw FRAM oil filters. Well what do I use, cause I wanna go into this 10k-25k oil change deal also.

The Nissan filter is one of the best available right now... I think a lot of people around here use them with their synthetics. I've been using the Mobil 1 filter with mine, but am probably going to go with the Nissan one here soon since its a good filter at a good/better price.

I use Amsoil with the Amsoil SDF13 filter. It continues to earn top honors in all filtration/efficiency/flow rate comparisons. You should not go beyond the 7500 mile mark with standard Nissan oil filter, but the Amsoil offers the possibility of doing so...albeit after several oil analyses to verify that everything is working well. The long and short of it is that with a solid oil filter, solid air filter (typically K&N or Amsoil) and great oil you can extend change intervals...but only if oil analysis supports it, not just because Amsoil says you can. My $.02 worth....

Go to http://www.amsoil.com/ and you can order direct from Amsoil. They can send you a current catalog. When you order the catalog, Amsoil will give you a number of a local Amsoil dealer in your area who will contact you. Be warned that Amsoil dealers sell Amsoil in a multi-level marketing style. You can't find it in stores.
