Removing "Datadot" headlights for DDE install?

Tried a search but came up with nothing on this topic, my 02 has the Datadot anti-theft kit installed on the HID's but I am not sure of the procedure for removing them so that I can install my Umnitza kit. Has anyone removed a pair of Datadot's or would anyone know what I need to do to get to the additional bracketry to remove them safely? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well someone at some point must have approached this, I'm not looking for it to be posted publicly obviously but if someone has the info and could PM it to me that would be ideal...

the reason why Lontar said that is because we know that the maxima headlight are prone to been jacked so as a community we dont really give the info on how to remove the headlights, because we dont know who we are giving the info too so basically we leave it to you to figure that out.

So even though I am part of the "community" and have been a member of this site for almost a year I cannot be helped? I understand the reasoning for not posting information publicly here, but not being able to help out a fellow maxima enthusiast because "you don't know who I am" is kind of baffling to me

"datadots" is not the same thing as the "theft deterrent kit"

its very time consuming to get them out. I have datedots and my buddy helped me clear the headlights. There came a time when we almost gave up. You gotta get under the car for this job (and stay there for an hour lol)

WHAT ARE DATADOTS?
DataDots are a state of the art identification and anti-theft security system applicable to most assets. The product consists of polyester substrate micro-dots, each the size of a grain of sand, onto which unique information is laser etched. These unique dots come pre-mixed in a UV based adhesive for ready application onto assets such as cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, laptops and other electrical equipment, business assets, cell phones, tools, Powersports equipment, and other high value items.

Each kit manufactured by DataDot contains its own unique code for a given asset. This may include a vehicle identification number, hull identification number, a computer generated PIN for personal and business assets, or the dot information may be fully customized. Each PIN is unique and cannot be manufactured again.

In essence, DataDots offer unique DNA for any asset.

I believe "Datadot anti-theft kit" sums up that I have the theft deterrent kit coupled with Datadot identification system, but an expected response from you Sooner so thanks for clearing it up....

I see I am going to receive absolutely no assistance here beyond what SLVRMAXX chimed in with, so thanks for that sliver of information SLVRMAXX.

Please get serious, I used Datadots in the title of the thread but I clearly mentioned "additional bracketry" and "anti-theft kit", I knew the difference between the two before starting the thread... I know they are datadots because I have the stickers right on the headlights suggesting so.

if you are asking how to remove the anti-theft bolt, why did you even mention the datadots? that has NOTHING to do with removing the headlights.

Dude I GET IT I know I did not word it properly to your liking, it is just how I chose to describe the headlights. SLVRMAXX understood what I meant you don't have to nitpick me to death here, do you really?

i posted to make sure he knew the difference...because if he just had datadots, removing the headlights wouldnt be a problem.

then SLVRMAXX said, "I have datedots and my buddy helped me clear the headlights."

so i posted again to make sure everyone realized the difference.
