5th gen key replacement options?

for whatever reason, both of my maxima keys broke where the keyloop goes, therefore its been seperated from the fob, and now i need to find replacements. before i get OEM replacements, i was wondering if nissan/infiniti made any "all in one" deals where the fob and the key are attached together. or if there are any different options other than the factory one. as far as i can tell, nissan/infiniti used the seperate key and fob combo and went directly to the smart key system they have now. there was no "inbetween" please correct me if im wrong. im sorta sick of having a fob and key combo!

Happened to me once on my 00. Do you throw your key, in anger? Thats how mine broke. Bought an AE key from ebay and got it programmed from the dealer...

Wish my AE had the push start with intelligent key That would be baddas..

Kinda off topic, wrong generation even, sorry lol

What happens if, for instance, someone started your car while you were by it (or the intelligence key) and ran off with the car, does it just turn off? or does it keep running?

That is an excellent question.

Does the key only provide signal for engine start, like the 4th/5th gen immobilizers, or does it require proximity at all times to keep the car running/functioning?

My guess is only for engine start, as I'm sure the valet key is not nearly as 'intelligent' as the primary key.

Funny - this happened to me too ... well, the previous owner. I have used the valet key since I bought the car over two years ago. I am curious how often this occurs among owners?
