Guys,
I have a few Questions

1. Does All Maxima comes with a clear coated paint?
2. Does anyone know of any goox car polish that works real well with Maxima? From what I have heard Zaino Brothers wax seems good. But are they really that great?

Well, it's NOT really clear. It more hazey and scratchy and...

I personally think it's just a protective plastic film. Like you find on elctronics and LCD displays. I think the saleman simply forgot to remove mine before he sold me the car.

Yes they come with a clear coat, what there is of it.
Rub a cotton ball over it and it will scratch. It is so thin that waxes and sealants don't hide the scratches.

Yes, all Maximas have clear coated paint.

One step, I used Eagle One.

Multi-step, I dunno. 3M, Meguiars, Zaino, are all recommended...

 

those made in 2000 dont have any clearcoat. Nissan gimme my ************ money back!LOL

 

From talking to nissan about painting non car parts apartently it's a two color process (basically)...Apartently it's a silver base then the clear coat is added but it has somthing in it that makes the silver a slightly different color not just shinner and protection.
