Clicking noise - HELP!

Clicking noise - HELP!

I have an 02 Max and for awhile now I hear a clicking noise when I step on the acceleratort. As soon as I let off, it stops. What could this be?

maybe its your knock sensor? what type of gas are you using? have you recently switched octane for gas? how many miles on the car? also see above.

I have the same noise, but I it is b/c my parents, whose car this was before mine, always put 87 octane gas into it for about 90k miles.........

I have 93000 miles on the max and I always you premium fuel. I have replaced the tires so I know its not a rock in the tire. What else can I check?
