buy a blank key?

I'm looking for suggestions on where to buy a blank key for a 2003. I did a search that yielded some help, but I want to explore all my options. thx

A blank key wont start it, it needs a 'chip'.

which in plain english sounds like this: you need to buy a year-model specific blank key, that would already have a chip in it - they call it a "transponder key", then cut it and then program it via consult.

You can pretty much use any 00-03 key, i would get the 20th anniversary key FTW, its the best looking key imo, plus it matches my other keys, haha

E-bay would be your best bet to buy blank keys.

Someone was claiming Home Depot can program chipped keys as long as you can verify you own the vehicle. I haven't been by to check for myself though.

i bought one from a company off ebay called transponder island. key was 15$ shipped and then another 50$ to get it programmed.

Just to be clear... the car needs to be programmed to accept the key. You don't "program the key." The key has a chip with a unique code, and the car must be programmed to recognize that code.

I checked last weekend. Doesn't seem so unless the employee was naive..
