What are your opinions on smoking the headlight lenses with the VHT stuff over headlight covers ?

Why not get tinted covers? I'd be concerned with not getting an even spray on both headlights...but I guess if you mess up you can just toss the clear covers out.

don't tint the headlights...honestly it's dumb to tint it for safety sakes. plus i think the spray on ones will decrease output even more compared to those tinted films since the spray isn't as clear as the film. if you are getting highbeamed at you can try to polish the headlights so it won't produce as much glare. i polished mine with plasticx last week and the cutoff was more defined and has little glare.

edit: actually i just notice you have a 2000 max so having hids in the stock headlights will create a lot of glare that's why you get high beamed.

You could tint the lower part and upper part to concentrate the light.

I Lowered them down abit, Ppl in the oncoming lanes dont high beam me, its the idiots who are parked on the same side of the road facing the wrong way waiting for who knows what. They need another wetsand , the lenses look like there splintered inside the lenses like the plastic is fatigued

These headlights are expensive, and the spray doesn't come off easily. Best bet will be to get smoked vinyl overlays from blue batmobile or rockblocker.

1. why would you want to reduce light output from the headlights. Our headlights are already mediocre in the first place.

2. in terms of looks. Leave the smoked headlights for the redneck mustang and camaros....

btw Professor. There is too much going on in your sig. Either keep your sig or keep the danasoft crap. But not both of them. Combined that sig is way over the "legal limit." Thanks.

BTW, it's wrong anyhow. I'm not using IE6 (using Avant) and Springfield is 2 towns over

Your light output will decrease, I used 2 cotes of Nite-shade on my fogs (I don't use them-no great loss) and noticed quite a decrease. I do like the look, though.
