speaker install

has anyone ever installed a component set on the front of a 2002 maxima i am trying to install the tweeter in the factory spot and the speaker on the door but i need to find out how did you get the wires from interior to door clean not **** job

Run through the existing place the wires go through. Cant the black boot be pulled out and wires run.

What I did I think when I had my 350z was there was room to drill holes in the plug and run them through. It was a pain in the butt and took forever to get back in. I re wired the whole car.

just cut the plug off, splice the factory wires with the new ones?

if i get what you're saying, that's what i did..at least for the door speakers.

I think the aftermarket tweeter is a little difficult because you have to connect it to the crossover.

i checked everywhere and no one had a answer but i figured a way to do it i drilled a hole under the rubber boot connection in the body and the door and added a seperate rubber connection for the speaker wires and it looks like factory

you don't need to drill anything or take off your door. If you can wait till tomorrow, I willtke a look at my door and tell you how it's done. I fed wires to the door and just recently took them out to relocate the speakers to the kick panels. I can't really remember where the wires were run but think that there is a place right in front of the buckle which is really hard to see but is easily doable. It's a little round rubber grommet that you can go through.

using a hangar type wire and some lube, it's pretty easy. don't drill and don't remove the buckle. it's not needed. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post.
