2002 MAX IMA SE Options?

Is it possible to get the 6-speed Maxima SE with just the cold package and bose. I'm to tall to fit in the one's equipped with the sunroof. Also, what would be a fair price for that combo, and who should I order it from. I'm located in Connecticut.

I think he means the meridian package.
The meridian package consists of:

heated seats,
heated steering wheel,
heated mirrors.

If you want the side impact airbags, you're stuck with
the meridian package. See www.nissandriven.com (under
build your vehicle feature) to see what combinations
are allowable.

you have to get leather to get the meridian package, they won't make one otherwise.

If you want any option on the SE you have to get the sunroof first. To get the Meridian Pkg you have to have the sunroof, Bose, and side airbags. You don't need leather.

Is not getting a sunroof gonna give you that much more headroom? I thought all it gives is like 1.5"-2" max?

Or is that more than enough for you?

Can you just move the seat ALL the way down? Or is still too low? HOW FREAGIN TALL ARE YOU?

The dealer told me that they could get the outside mirrors w/defrost for 150 a piece and the leather for 1,100. I wouldn't get the seat or wheel heaters, which is no big deal, I just wanted the heated mirrors since it is not going to be garaged. Does the leather install for 1,100 sound reasonable? They said they send it to Jersey to have it installed. This is the only option I've been able to find w/out having to get the sunroof.

I'm 6'-3", sitting I'm 38.5" so I need at least 39.5" headroom to be comfortable, I believe the 2002 Maxima has 40.2" w/out the sunroof which works out, I have a 99 SE loaded right now and I have to set the seat all the way back and recline it in order to fit, then I'm to far from the steering wheel. I Wish you could install the 2002 Altima telescopic steering column(it is the only feature that is worth a damn, beside the rear suspension)in the 2002 Maxima, that would be sweet! Also does anyone know if that $1,100 leather install is worth it or if there are any places that will do it cheaper.

I am also close to 6'3" and have a sunroof on my 2k maxima. I have not had any problems with headroom. As for aftermarket leather, you can get better quality from a place like www.leatherseats.com . It is much cheaper also....

You must have longer legs and a shorter torso, (I'm not cracking, so please don't take it that way) or the 2000 maxima has more headroom than the 2002, they did change the seats. My wife and I just sat in a 2002 today and you couldn't fit a sheet of paper between the top of my head and the trim around the interior of the sunroof, which is dirtectly above the drivers head so it's not just a matter of opening the sunroof. I would have to lean to the right which works some times, but not for the hour long commute to work. I'm curious about the 2002 Altima's steering column, can it replace the 2002 Maxima's steering column.

The leather for $ 1,100 was to have the dealer send it out and have it installed, before I pick it up for the first time. Their way of working around the "you need the sunroof before you can ad any other options" issue.

That's probably it. I have my seat all the way back as well as tilted all the way back. I have it reclined a bit also... My wrists hit the top of the steering wheel and I can reach the pedals just fine, so no problems there..... I have plenty of space between the sunroof and my head this way

In the 2002 brochure, the Meridian Package doesn't say anything about needing to have the leather package. It only "requires sunroof option and front-seat-side-impact air bags option. Also requires Bose audio system option on SE. Also requires Traction Control option on GLE."

yo im 6'4" and i have NO poblem with leg or head room at all

i dont think you should have too much of a problem

i would recomend going in to the dealership and sitting in the car...dont just go by the numbers from the book...bc those are with the seat at a 85 degree angle....who drives like that honestly?

just a thought

i'm 6'3'' also and i've got a good amount of room. i know this is pretty basic but have you tried using the controls on the side to lower the 'seat' portion of the seat? it can give you a lot of extra room.

Why would you want heated seats without leather? Seems like a waste. I had heated seats in my M3 with leather, LOVED it. WIth cloth though, the seats never get cold really.
