Take your floor mats out and clean them. I used a steam cleaner and some Blue Coral Dry Clean and they are fine. I also changed to rubber floor mats.

Mine were stinky last winter, so I bought winter floor mats from Nissan that are supposed to catch all the crap, but so much water and crap gets accumulated and it overflows onto the carpet and the carpet gets moldy. Snow/Ice FTL

Get your carpet out and wash them.
I put a rubber mats on the carpet to prevent dirty water gets in the carpet.

Rent that steamer they use on house carpets from a grocery store and use that on it. It'll take the smell right out.

i always tap my feet on the side skirts before i get in the cars to remove most of the debree on the bottom of the shoes and most of the water/snow/ice. nice thick carpets help too. take them out and wash them or throw them in the washing machine once in a while.
