Frost Inside Car

Hey All,

I'm having a problem with frost appearing inside the car on really cold mornings. This morning my entire windshield was covered in it.

Also, I remember this past summer on a rainy day seeing some water soaking through the fabric at the top of the A-pillar.

So, I'm sure I have a leak of some kind and my first thought is sunroof or possibly a bad seal on the front window. Blocked drain is another thought.

Anybody have any suggestions on the best way to start tracking this down?

Start taking off panels and see where the leak is coming from.

I'd say take off the A piller, drop the headliner down a bit (or totally remove it, would be easier to see everything) then go through a carwash or spray a hose on it to see where it's leaking from.

check your A/C condensor relief hose under dash, sometime it gets clogged and water leaks out of the unit, you might not realize it but if you use your "Auto" feature on you digital climate control or windshield mode, the A/C compressor engages and condensation collects on the buttom of the unit, if the relief hose is clogged, it will relieve itself into the cabin.

you will usually see or feel a damp or wet carpet on the passanger side under dash.

and as pmohr stated, check your sunroof drain off's.

also, was your windshield ever replaced? if it was, check the seal.
