What would I benefit from having a short intake pipe?

What would I benefit from having a short intake pipe?

I want to buy a Nissan intake adapter and just hook up a super high flow filter to my Maxima. What would I benefit from this? I have a 5 speed and don't really care about low end.

What will happen from having a really short intake arm?

Obviously gains from the increased flow. If its the only mod you have its not going to be incredible but you will feel a slight pull high end, shorter intake path is going to mean less turbulence where a CAI has a bunch of turns ..........

IF I have less turbulence, will I have more torque and horse power at high rpm?

How much hp will a pop charger give me?

Its adding high RPM HP but with no other mods mabye 7+ HP gain is expected. It might not be much now but its how you gotta start....

My intake works like a motha. you feel a great increase in performance. i have a stillen intake but the filter is K&N. you seem like the type of guy that doesn't really care for the name, so i would suggest maybe a jim wolf tech. they also use K&N but it might e cheaper for you.

JWT doesn't use a K&N filter. They use a generic one.

What will actually gain from having a shorter arm beside having less turbulence?

Will turbulence rob performance?

You might gain a little bit, maybe like 1-2hp. There is less psace for the air to travel, so that means faster air flow into the engine=more hp...but I wouldn't know how much you would gain.
