will a 2000-2001 ecu work?

sup guys i have a 2001 maxima anniversary edition 5spd.now will a regular se 5spd ecu work for my car or not???

dont see why not... but you should try searching it to be sure... as far as i know the only difference is 20th anniversary written everywhere, 5hp, and a lip kit

yeah i know i tryed and searched but really didnt find any info.but thanks for the heads up i think it might work...

Not sure if I'm correct or not, but when switching ECU's, do you need to change the ignition key assembly to mach with the ECU from the same car?

No you don't, you have to get the dealership to reprogram your ecu and keys thats all. since your an annverisary I'm not sure about anything special with the ECU so you should be okay. your looking at 100-200 for the reprogram btw

you'll need a 01 ecu. The 01 don't have an egr compared to the 00 where they have an egr. The ecu reads differently.
