Bolt almost rounded

Ok so I went to change my tranny fluid today finally. I have 01 SE 3.0L 5MT with 86K miles on it. I just bought the car about 6 mths ago. The drain bolt is impossible to get to with anything other than an open end wrench, as i am sure you all know. Problem is is that the bolt is rusted BAD.

I PB Blasted the heck out of it, let it sit for a while then went at it. The bolt does not wanna break loose, it is starting to round off. Any ideas short of taking it to the stealership to get them to take it out for me?

IMO, it's general practice to use VG's whenever you have a rounded bolt/but. Obviously be prepared to replace it with a new one when finished.

Well i noticed there is what i believe to be a sensor going into the bottom of the tranny. Plastic piece with wire going into it, and the same level if not lower than the drain plug. Thoughts on removing this instead?

i use a socket with an impact gun and go really light at it (variable throttle). If not use a socket with an extension and a wrench 1/2 inch and push against the pan hard to seal even and turn. that way it won't slip. 12 point wrench will round it for sure

Update: Taking out the plastic peice was easy as pie. The fluid drained in about a 1/2 a second. LOL I read that thread, just for shoots and giggles. I already knew how to change the fluid. The how to didnt show me anything useful unless I overlokked it. thanks for the quick responses everyone
