Completing My Exhaust

I wanted to post this to get some opinions.

I have a full MagnaFlow setup ready to go on this spring.

I have a Dual Tip Muffler, Resonator, Cat, Tips, etc.

It's all 2.5".

The topic up for discussion is how I am going to tie it all together, specifically how I am going to fab the exhaust up around the rear axle (2001).

Connecting the Cat to Y-pipe (Warpspeed), then to the Resonator is straightforward, but the mandrel bends up around the axle are difficult.

I was quoted about $500 to do the exhaust with mandrel bent 2.5", I think that this is pretty steep. If I buy a B-pipe, it only gets half way up around the exhaust, and I need to get the rest of the pipe to reach the muffler. The muffler is also center in as opposed to the stock side-in.

So, what is the easiest way to do this? Should I go with the full custom Fab, or should I look into getting something to connect it all. If I do get something to connect it all, where can I get it all for a decent price?

Why not just get full Cattman and avoid all the headaches?

Re-sale on (New) MagnaFlow stuff isn't that great where I'm from.

I'd probably go with Frankencar if I were to go Bolt-on.

Frankencar has been closed for a good while now, yes the site still works but no they don't make products anymore.

500 is a little steep to me as well. Maxima exhaust is pretty straight forward I would expect no more that 300 bucks total go some where else.

Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like it's heavily spoken for at this point though.....

Also cefiro80, I can't go anywhere else since the shop I deal with is the only shop that mandrel bends custom exhaust components anywhere near where I live. (My username will clarify).

I might try to get them to cut me a deal to fab some stuff for my s/c, install the exhaust, and install an O2 bung for the WBO2. Either route I take, looks like it's gonna be $$$.

If for $500 I would go with Cattman.

My exhaust was 300 from axle back which included the muffler, b-pipe, and all labor.

If your dead set on keeping your stuff, you could buy the tsudo catback from ebay or a megan catback and then have the shop put on the resonator and muffler. I dont know about the tsudo but the megan has a side inlet on the muffler like the stock set up so they would have to alter it a little bit to get that muffler on but it will work.

That's an awesome price.
What was the size of the exhaust, and was it mandrel bent?
Also, was it used or new?

I know that Budget sells "just" their B-pipe for $260 CAD.

^

Custom exhaust that was done at a shop. Mandrel bent 2.5" with resonator and Flowsound muffler. I pre-bought new Magnaflow tips so if you want to add that in $350. Got a used Cattman Y for $75 and an extra $80 in labor to put it on.

So in ALL labor and parts was....~$500 for a Y-pipe to axle back.

But once I get in some $ I will be revamping my setup to be full Cattman. Headers to axle back.

I just checked out your Cardomain.

That is very tempting,
But I think I'm going to stick with the original setup since this is taking up all of my time & money right now.......

I don't think that it will set-off any CEL's.
But the emission's issues are what I would worry about.

You can buy mandrell bends from Summit and Jegs for ~$26 each for 45* bends and 90* bends for ~$30, pricing all depends on tubing size those prices are for 3" tubing.

the y-pipe bolts on, which you probably know.

We can't tell you what bends to get without first knowing which portion of the exhaust you're wanting to fab.
