oil oil oil!

Hi, i know there are a lot of posts about oil and i did a search and read them all. But i still have a question. I cant change my own oil so i have to go to mobil to do it for me. My car has 8000 miles right now. And both times be4 i went to dealer to change it and it cost me like 35 to change the oil. Im tired of them so i wanna go to mobil staion to change it there. Now i read that many recomend mobil 1 synthetic, but it costs $45 to change it at the station. so thats out of the question. So what regualr mobil oil do u guys recomend? Or should i just keep going back to my dealer for the oil change? Thanks for your help.

go buy a case of mobil1 and then give the dealer 4 quarts to do the oil change.... They shouldn't charge you for oil...

if....

my dealer charges almost $50 for a mobile one fully syn oil change. That's simply not worth it. I do my own oil changes and the added cost of syn is worth it. It pays for itself to use syn. However, not at $50 a change. If I were in your shoes and couldnt change my own oil, I would just go back to the dealer and use the regular oil. if you are changing at 3000 mile intervals and not driving hard, there is no way mobil1 is worth $50 bucks. However, I use mobile1 religeously now, but I'm only spending $20 for oil and filter when I do it myself.

next time you buy a car, ask for 3 years oil change for free. It comes in a nissan prefered package. You know, the one with free towing for a year or something. if you got some kind of a club card, call your dealer and ask what it comes with. ask if free oil changes are included.

Most places charge less than usual -- call and ask them before you go
