what cats to replace?

what cat can we replace the easiest without throwing any codes ( wanna replace with a test pipe) thanks.

huh?

only main cat can be replaced with test pipe...other two are part of exhaust manifold and requires headers to remove

thanks sooner. Will that throw any codes in case in sensors are affected? performance gains worth it?

if you replace a cat with a test pipe you will get codes without a doubt.

Wrong. Only fed spec because they have an o2 after the cat.
You can get an o2 simulator if you don't want a CEL.

No gains to be had unless your cat converter was clogged, if so I'd just replace it with a high flow unit.

now days, cats are not as restrictive as in the past so a test pipe does nothing.

Get rid of pre-cats via headers/ypipe, keep factory cat. Plenty of info about this topic already.

The OP has a Cali spec, so this doesn’t even apply.

I just gutted/hollowed my cat, i'm in Fla.(no emissions testing here). Used a sim, no code probs... and great results. More throttle response/hp, works great with my magna flow exhaust and ram air intake.
