Which color wheels do you guys think goes best with a black car? What about size? I can't decide between 18 or 19". This will be my first set of wheels so I'm really confused.

Search and look at the Members Rides section on the org. It will show you pics of 5th gens with 18's and 19's. Everybody has their own opinion which wheels look better...decide for yourself.

one example from the Rides section...

I've probably gone through the big pic thread about 4 times now and can't decide. I was set on 19" mesh rims yesterday but then read that 19" will be uncomfortable and many people bend rims. That is something I want to stay away from but 19" do look the best I think. I like the look of the G35C 18" rims and I loved the way wazzzzuup painted them black. But then again I also love rims with lips on them. Can't decide on anything.

id say def go with 19's. I have 19's with a very stiff suspension, and with all the potholes in Boston, no bent rim. i went with a bigger side wall tire though (255-40-19).

Also make sure you get a well known name brand rim, they tend to be made better.

I would wait till you have more money then. $800 won't get you decent rims not to mention tires. Even used thats not alot of money.

Well I know I'm asking others opinion about what I'm spending money on, but I've never bought a set of aftermarket rims before for this car and just wanted a general public opinion on what they think looks good. Don't want to spend money on something that others might think looks hideous.

I think I've actually narrowed it down to these two...

or

Which one would look better, honestly?

I know. lol. But which one will look better? There aren't many upgraded Maxima's around here and I have no clue how either will look. You guys are more exposed to different Maxima's, that's why I asked.

Black Chrome G35's no question about it. C'mon the other ones manage to look plain and gaudy at the same time. (I don't know how)

I wish I could do 19" but the more I read how uncomfortable they are and how fragile (roads are bad here in NJ), the more I'm leaning towards 18".

if i were you 18" in NJ. G35c rims are easy to get for 300-400 if you're lucky, then 1 something per tire for a decent set and you'll be happy.

personally i have 19's on so cal roads (not too bad, except LA). I love them, they look great and i can deal with the harshness. but in NJ...i'd say 18s alll the way. good luck

Yeah I saw they're around 400 but then it would cost another 400 to get them powder coated.

I'd go with 18", i'm not big on odd size rims...and depending on the color of the car....black would be my top choice....maybe a set of Konig Holes or even the Unknowns...

I think you should get Pink or purple... that way when someone asks you why you have pink or purple rims you can say because you are too stupid to decide on a color yourself you had to ask other peoples opinions...

EDIT:

SuperStasiu Stole my idea, should have posted it when I first wanted to like yesterday or something :-/ eh whatever

why is this still open

there are two reason it should be closed
1. there is a wheel and tire forum
2. this is a pointless opinion thread. he needs to do research and make his own decisions.
