Search the forums for "Roof Spoiler". There are a few threads on this topic and even some pics of some on your generation Maxima...

I have an 08 Maxima and I just got mine from this site... http://www.ionicdynamics.com/

I know he has some for your year...

Search eBay for "roof spoiler" or "roof wing" also...

Most of the ones i see are either painted or carbon fiber...is there any that are made out of the same material as the sunroof deflector?

i wouldnt imagine its dull, its probably in a gloss black primer, besides that it would only cost around 100 to have painted to factory specs

I ordered the unpainted version and it came primed in grey.. Since I have a black Maxima I had the shop color match it, paint and clear coat it. Looks great... One thing, I did not get any 2 sided tape or adhesive with the spoiler... That was a drag!!! The shop that is installing it for me had to order some windshield adhesive. They recommended I do not use the 2 sided tape, stating it won't hold up as good as the adhesive over time and harder for someone to rip off the car...

I saw it online but if you contact a local glass place/windshield installer they may sell it to you or at least tell you where you can buy it...

I used 3M Industrial strength 2 sided tape when I removed, painted, and put roof wing on another max I got after an accident. It's pretty sturdy. I even used it on eyelids. I like it better than the adhesive that comes on the eyelids.

It's probably the 3M with the red backing. That's pretty strong stuff.

You can buy the 3m tape from any auto parts store. I got mine painted and put the tape on and it held up fine thru numerous weekly car washes and a very cold winter. Anything can be stolen, plus the windshield adhesive leaves a nasty film on your window that is a pain to clean off.

so i contacted a window shop and they have never heard of window adhesive being used for plastic to glass
only for metal to glass
any thoughts
Or should i stick to 3m Extra Strength

I'd like to know more about this 3M tape before the shop gets in the adhesive they claim they ordered. I'd hate to use adhesive if it leaves any marks etc...

The best tape for this install is 3M Molding Tape, red backing, gray tape, sold at all auto stores. When I removed my roof spoiler, it was on there so strong I nearly cracked the spoiler in half.

Just make sure to let the windshield heat up under the sun for an hour, clean it, and yu are good to go with the tape.

ok so anyone with a window spoiler.
NOT happy with the fitments of the piece.
It doesn't extend to the end of the window. Its about 3/4 of inch short so i have to center it which isn't easy. Also the bend in the fiberglass doesn't match the bend in the rear window so i have to really push to make it fit. Last when it is centered and bent the ends where the roof line are have big gaps in them.
Are these common problems. Anyone else have this issue or did i get a defective product.
Let me know and help is greatly appreciated

Yeah I had fitment issues with my window spoiler too although I didnt have quite the gap that you did; it seemed like it was warped even before I put it on. There's really nothing to do except maybe let it sit out in the sun one summer day and let it get softer, then trying to put it back on.
I took mine off since then only because I got tired of the look(I had the sunroof visor, rear window spoiler and trunk lid spoiler all on at once)

I still have it though if anyone wants to buy it from me. I'll give you a great deal
