Back brake rubs, never the same side.

Back brake rubs, never the same side.
sometimes when I stop my back brakes smell, but never the same side.
This morning the left was cool to touch the other, made my spit boil.
Then sometimes its the other way round, the right is the hot one.
1. I have adjusted the E brake cable to slack.
2. I don't ride my brakes![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
3. Help...

rear calipers have a tendancy to seize, depending on
- climate
- age/miles
- maintenance.
You need to take them off and lube the slide pins and spring clips. If that doesn't work, you could rebuild them or (probably just as cheap) replace the rear calipers. They run about $50 for remans at most auto parts stores (maybe less)
But do the slide pins first. If they're sticking, that's why you're having this problem.
