Rear suspension noise
Rear suspension noise
Just had my H-tech springs installed 2 weeks ago and I'm getting alot of sqweaking noises from the rear area while going over uneven surfaces, bumps, normal driving etc.I was told that this could be normal to experience at first but am not sure.Any helpful insights to this problem would be very appreciated
With your H-techs there should be some rubber sleeves on the springs and the perch / top hat should have this nice size rubber piece that the spring compresses against. Make sure that they tightened the nut all the way down when they put the springs on. Also, check to make sure the spring is positioned right. There is a little grove in the bottom perch that the springs end should sit in.
It's a really easy job to do yourself man...
If you paid a company or someone to do it I would take it back and make them fix it. They shouldn't be squeaking at all.
Are you on stock struts? Worse case senerio your ride would be **** and you would bottom out a lot.

Thanks for the input fellas.Anyways, had to install my 15mm spacers on the rear wheels so while I had the tires off I tried moving the spring alittle to see if the fit was good and double checked all nuts to make sure all were tight and they were.I was able to pretty much pinpoint where the sqweaking was coming from so after messing around with it I put the tires back on and went for a ride and YES the noise was gone.Hopefully by moving the springs around I took care of the problem.
WRONG....I guess I spoke too soon cuz the sqweaks returned again this morning. After washing it I noticed the noise returned in the same rear location so again I removed the rear wheel and checked the spring area completely this time using some WD40 in areas I thought might be rubbing.Put wheel back on ,checked for noise and..OK...Hopefully when I take it out it will not return.....I'll keep you guys posted.........
