you connect it to the antenna connection so its a "wired FM modulator"

I will be purchasing one of these today.
I wondering about the usa spec

Unlike the '00-'01 Bose w/trunk changer, the '02 & '03 don't have the aux port needed to connect anything to it. The most frustrating part is that the tech support line swears it should work, but they seemed to know about as much as an outsourced phone operator reading a script. I plan to call Monday for a refund.

I'm interested in learning more about the FM modulator. Is that a direct connection; if so, how? There are only 3 ports on the back of the HU and they're all used.
I think the FM modulator just wraps around the antenna line before it connects to the HU. Not sure because I've never seen it diagrammed, but this is what I've picked up.
Thanks for the info about the non-functional adapter

I found this picture with all the plugs showing clearly. as long as they fit, I think there will be no problem.

Didn't someone in here buy this one>?

Yes, I bought this for my '01. Consensus is that it more than likely won't work on the 5.5 with 6cd in dash.

1st post. I have a 02 bose factory HU W/ nav system, CD changer in truck but does not work. Has anyone tried the USA spec PA 11 with this set up. Crutchfield filters this unit out of seaches for my car b/c of the GPS, but with the CD changer input I think it should work? Anybody have any thoughts?

HOW???

What if, in my case, your cd player cuts out and your tape deck doesn't work and you have an mp3 player not an ipod and you want to directly connect that to the 5.5 BOSE HU .... Now how do you do that! LOL tricky...although I sacrifice not having my cd player or tape deck to not work at all is there a way I can not use my cd player, or tape deck, but hook something else into its port or is it all one unit? Or would it be best to hardwire an fm modulator to the stereo? Any suggestions?

usa-spec

The usa-spec adaptor did not work on my '02 GLE with the indash 6 disc. There are three connectors on the back. Two fit, but the third does not. It should work on the '04-'06's however. If any one is looking for one, I have an extra laying around for sale.

I have the PA11-NIS for my 2k and it works great, great sound quality etc. I just purchased it for my wife's 5.5 with the in-dash 6cd and one of the connections doesn't fit. If anyone knows if there is a way to make this work, it would be much appreciated.

I think it's safe to assume that this item won't work on 02-03s. Sucks, but nothin we can do about it.

03 GXE

Everyone here is talking about Bose system. I have a non-Bose system with 1 CD (no 6 CD changer). I am planning to get Neo Pro Link - PODNISV2 or USA Spec PA11-NIS. Neo Pro Link - PODNISV2 is my first choice.

So, Do you think there is a CD changer connector which I could use for these adapter or is it all 03 is just not going to work?

Neo Pro Link - PODNISV2

After doing some research I think I am going to buy Neo Pro Link - PODNISV2 and try it. I hope it will work. I need to buy this online since no local store will sell it, I think.

After lot of research, I found this. Neo Pro Link is fake (http://www.my350z.com/forum/4905138-post8.html) considering the guy the telling the truth. Anyway< so I bought USA Spec PA11-NIS. Will get it next week.

USA Spec PA11-NIS seems to work fine with IPhone 3G. The only thing it it doesn't charge the iPhone. I did buy the special cable from USA Spec and it still didn't charge my iPhone, kinda disappointing. So, I gave up. Other than that issue its good.

You need to get a different cable about $20 that you replace your existing ipod cable, and it will charge your 3G iphone.
