Bras for 2K Max

Ok...Since I now drive about 180 to 200 miles per day in Max, the front end is having quite a toll taken on it. Chips, pits, glicks, glacks, chunks, you name it.

I'm going to have to get something for the front of it or else it will totally be ruined.

I've heard bad things about bras that the paint will be ruined (like it isn't garbage anyways?) etc

Can anyone recommend a good bra for the Max that will be pretty much maint free?

I've seen Wolf, Le Bra and some magnetic one that covers just the front portion of the hood.

The 3M application is out so please dont suggest that

A lot of people like the LeBra from Saddleman. Are you looking for full frontal or partial coverage? For partial coverage you may want to try the carflector or hood cover from Saddleman.

One more thing....

If you get a bra for your Max just make sure you remove it when it rains or you will get fading/discoloration on your paint job.

Well one of the reasons I was looking at LeBra, Wolf and the Magnet bra was because they all claim that they don't need to be removed after rain as they will not harm the paint.

You can see the magnet bra at http://www.magnetbra.com/

45 bucks looks like a good deal although it doesn not protect the front except for the hood.

Anyone else here use a car bra?

Here is an 01 Max with one

I have a bra that I bought direct from nissan. I used to take it off every now and then to clean it and everything. But now I just leave it on. Theres a color fade differece, but the last time i checked, there was no scratches or chips underneath.

Bra

I purchased a Magnabra for my 2K2 Maxima and I have been happy so far and I have gotten numerous compliments on how it looks on the car.

How is the Magnabra working as far as protecting? I like the idea(and the price)but it doesn't look like it protects all that much. Maybe looks are deceiving. I just know I have to do something quick

I've been pleased with my hood cover from www.saddleman.com. Due to the AE body kit, I can't use an entire bra, so I just bought the cover. Been on my car for almost a year. No fade, and it wears fine. Just use common sense and keep under waxed, and remove if/when it gets wet. Will definitely save your hood, plus it looks cool. srm

So I take it you have the LeBra? Seems like a lot of taking it off and on especially with winter coming. LeBra says that there is no need to take off as it is self drying as you drive....just hype?

It does dry quickly, I know for sure. But if when I pull in the garage it is wet, I remove it and hang it up. It really is no trouble, and it is not on/off again as much as you might think. I only get concerned if I've been in a downpour.

good luck. srm

Magnet Bra

It took about 5 days for it to arrive, about 15 minutes to install, and it definitely protects the area where I saw minor chips starting to show up. I have taken it off twice since I've had it and have not noticed any changes to my paint. I recommend you do clean and wax your hood before you install it.
