Paul and Nauman have Body Shop minimeet

I had my official damage estimage done at Zamora's body shop http://www.zamorasautobody.com/ this afternoon. Who rolls up as I'm about to leave? Nauman. Maxima mini-meet. LOL.

The damage on Nauman's car wasn't as bad as I pictured, but it's enough to make my stomach hurl. Turns out my damage on my new car isn't so bad afterall. ~$250.00 My repair is going to take 2 days.

Whats up Paul.... check your e-mail...

Anyhow, I got the estimate on my car. Just going by the visual damage, they said it would be at least $3300 and over 8 days of work. Once they tear down the bumpers and stuff, it will be quite a bit more if they find anything else. I also took it down to a dealer to get it appraised. Before the wreck, it was worth close to $18k. The appraiser said that even if there is just minor body work, the price would still go down by $1k or more. If there is unibody damage, then the car won't even be worth retail. I am going to try and recover some of the diminished value when I go see the insurance adjuster tomorrow. Wish me luck

check your PM's

basically, I was in rush hour stop-and go traffic on I-95 on Tuesday morning. The guy in front of me braked hard and fast, as did I. As I was coming to a stop, the guy behind me slammed into my back and pushed me into the guy up front. No one was hurt. The guy up front had an old early '90s Camry and he had no damage. He didn't want to claim anyhthing, gave me his name and #, and left. The guy behind me was in a 2k altima. His whole front was gone. Radiator was busted, headlights damaged, car wouldn't shut off. My car is driveable, but banged up. Oh-well, I guess these things happen

I got scraped on my right rear bumper. A girl was trying to get by me at an intersection. She didn't quite make it. The damage is not bad.

Yeah... sux big time. The damage is not bad though. Nothing got dented or pushed in. This quality body shop will have it looking new in no time.

I went to the adjuster today....

They are trying to **** me over. They only gave me $2200 for the damages and they are going to use non-Nissan parts. I am going to go back to them and get this straightened out. I am going to tell the body shop to go get factory OEM parts rather than the **** the insurance guys said to use.... man, they really **** me off

Come on let a brotha in on this, I mean how much the body shop say the cost for a pair of new ones were? And how much are you trying to get the 2K2's for?

I think the stock OEM 2k headlamps are listed around $400 for the set. If I can put in a few hundred $$ more of my money, I can get the 2k2 HIDs in there. I think a guy here was selling some left over sets for $700 or so... Basically, if I have to put in another $200 or $300 and get HIDs, I am going for it.
