Always have thought that i needed to repair the VAIS since i bought the car last august. I Just finished installing my new Berk with Apexi intake and now have access to the screws. I know they strip really easily... Any suggestions to get them undone?

Don't even try to use a screw driver and just vice grip them out.
And be prepared for some fun....unless you're a lucky one.

haha. yeah i know. I originally "attempted to take the screws out with a driver and wow they wont budge! haha im going to have to try a vice grip!
Well, how experienced are you with a screwdriver? Mine came out that way, but you have to position the piece so it will not move AT ALL. Put some A$$ behind it and off come the screws.

my suggesttion and method i uses is a phillips driver in a socket so you can actually get torque
MAKE SURE ITS THE EXACT RIGHT PHILLIPS HEAD or your basically F*&CKED and your going to strip the screws out, NOT FUN.
suggestion also would be to take the bolts you take out and replace them

biggest phillips head you can get to work in there, break it loose going clockwise (tightening), then once it broke loose back it out.
I also have a set of these http://www.irwin.com/irwin/consumer/...rwinProd100512
and they worked good too

haha harmbone i wish i was as lucky as you!
These babies just dont want to budge. I'm going to go out today and try taking them out with a socket to try and get some more muscle into them.
Definitely looks like I'm going to need to replace them if i ever get them out!

now go to autozone and buy proper bolts.
also while you're at it take out the screws on the other side of the manifold where the power rod comes out and replace those too!
