Paint Problems (not chips)

I recently bought my Max about a month ago. Since then I have washed it twice and when I wash I have noticed problems with the paint. It seems that there are splotches on he paint. My car is black so when you look closely at the car you see kinda of gray marks. It doesn't wipe off. There is also a spot on the roof the has a straight edge with an angle, meaning it looks like it was masked off or something to produce the mark. Does anyone know what this is? I only have 1100 miles on my car and I don't want an imperfect "new" car. Should I complain? These marks are on the side, the roof, the trunk, etc. Any advice? Thanks.

To be more clear, I noticed the splotches while washing but I can see then when the car is dry also.

Sounds Like...

....The dealer dented the car and then fixed it.

Stop by an impartial body shop and ask them if the car has been painted.

absolutely! Take it to a body shop, and if it turns out they did paint over a fixed dent, raise hell. I found a small dent on my hood the afternoon that I bought it and took it right back, they took 1500 off what I had already gotten him down to (in term of overall sticker price).

This is probably from the protective film that is used to cover the car during shipping. I had long black lines all over my car when I first got it. Some came off during a regular wash, but the tough ones I had to rub out.

I'm glad Nissan covers the cars when they ship them (imagine how many chips we would have if they didn't)...but you think the dealers could clean the cars up better before selling them.

Thanks for the advice so far. To vent a little more, when I bought the car it had a scratch in the back fender driver's side. They said they would fix it and did. I was told to bring it back in two weeks for wet sanding and buffing. When I did they said they noticed a dust spot or two that had gotten in the paint. They said they fixed that and returned it to me. Upon careful inspection by me I see 4 dust spots now and a place that looks like the paint cracked. This is on top of the weird splotches I mentioned earlier. I think on Monday morning I will complain. Any other ideas? How should I approach this? In the past I had some trouble with them and complained and got a 10 year drivetrain warranty. Should I try o get something else? My car will have been in the shop about 2 weeks of the first 5 weeks I own it!!!
