Guage Lighting Problems

Since I bought my 01 SE back in April of 07 my tripometer guage has not been lighting up off and on, but now none of the guages light up (including my tac and speedometer) they come on randomly but it is very rare. Has anyone ever had this problem and been able to fix it?

It sounds like a loose connection. I would pull the gauge cluster out and check the connections. Make sure when you re-install they are all tight.

If you do this and its still happening I would look at replacing the bulbs behind the cluster. I'm probably going to be replacing mine because the light output is getting pretty low. It is a simple procedure, but I think the bulbs may be a bit expensive...not sure though.

I USED #2723 sylvania's

lol, i also found the bulb number right at the bottom of the socket you put the bulb into......the 2723 seem brighter to me, maybe its because i had a pick of the cheaper bulbs and then the 2723's

the bulbs i got are 13.4v, and operate at 2.3 watts....

Would any one know if getting the #74 white LED's would be better or to just stick with these "soft white" bulbs
