Dents from hail.

Had a huge hail here in Richmond hill (Canada). Ended up having alot of small dents on my hood/roof. Everyone in the area has these on their cars. Im guessing the only way to get rid of those would be by replacing the hood. Hail was a size of a golf *****.

Call your insurance agent. I have heard of cars being totaled because of hail damage.

Try this before you pull out the Check Book

Hey buddy, well im not sure just how critical it is that every single dent be spotlessly removed or not; but heres my 10 cents. On a Very Hot Day when the car has sat in the sun and is nice and warm, go out to your car and Throw COLD water on the areas that are dented. It should shock the metal and press the dents out, seeing as it has sat in the sun and heat for some time and the metal is softened up. thats what car dealerships do! lol then they sell the cars as slightly damaged vehicles. Im not even jokeing, my father used to be in the car buisness! and if it doesnt work, well.. calll the insurance agent and get yourself a nice new Hood.

I've also heard you put the car in the sun for awhile and put some dry ice on the dents and the should pop right out I have never try it myself so I don't know if it works or not but it you don't have the money then it's worth a try. I just chose to go through the insurance because I have a low deductible so it didn't cost me much.

I just got hailed on too on Friday...I'll tell you now, dryice with either not work at all (it didn't for me) or you will be out there FOREVER trying to get all the dents out.

I applied the dry ice to the permiter and the dent itself for like a minute and it did squat. It was also 90 degrees out too.

I've had better luck with the $20 dent puller kit you get at auto stores. It takes a long time waiting for the hot glue to set up, but seems to work better.

The hail that did my damage was very similar to this:

You should check out our product, Hail Guardian (www.hailguardian.com). We are working with large manufacturers who will license our technology and look to have it on the US market in early 2012.
