6th gen intake on 5.5 gen
#2
MAF bolt pattern is different, and the tubing might be a little different, but nothing a little elbow grease and thought process couldn't over come. What were you thinking of, exactly?

edit; Im thinking of a short ram air intake, I dont know if a true CAI is different.
Its not worth the heart ache.
I have a K&N intake, and will be doing a battery relocation because of it..
The piping puts the filter right into where your battery is located. If you look at a 5.5gen to a 6th gen, there is a 90 degree turn in the battery. So your battery will not fit with the piping.
Otherwise the MAF sensor doesnt fit either, both a different bolt pattern and depending on the thickness of the piping, is too long. My piping is.. 3" I believe? And it sticks out about a half an inch, I had to make up some stuff to hold it in there.
edit; If you're not willing to move the battery to the back, there is adequate room to attempt moving the battery tray 90 degrees like that in a 6th gen.
Also, the metal bar that holds the intake into the vehicle does not line up with any bolts on the 5.5gen
