OK guys, I need some help from some of the less mechanically challenged than myself on this board. I am dying to go for a big power boost next Sping when I take my Max out of storage. I was thinking the Stillen SC, but have heard concerns about it throughout the Summer. Nonetheless, a decent application of supercharger technology seems to be a great way to go....just not sure if Stillen have really done their homework. I also am starting to see turbo kits popping up which may be another viable alternative. And finally those with nitrous seem very happy with the results.

Like I said I am by no means a mechanic. I see from other threads that many others hang out at the local track and/or dyno, and I assume have some expertise with these various technologies. Could everyone with something to add to our collective knowledge base regarding these technologies make a post. Someone posts asking for comments on individual technologies or comparisons between them almost weekly. Perhaps we can hash this out fully and stick the resulting consensus in MAXFAQS or something. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

PS. I'm hoping for some good feedback on nitrous, because installing the Stillen kit eliminates the opportunity for all sorts of neat little Sunday afternoon projects like the CAI and underdrive pullies. But don't let that bias you

I am also looking to add a supercharger next spring and I'm looking foreward to it! I understand some people have had bad luck with their kits but everything I've gotten from stillen has been very good quality so I'm hoping my luck continues. There rally are no turbo kits for maximas and it doesn't look like there ever will be. Apparently the jwt/eibach 2k max in scc magazine is for show only and cost a ton!! If I were you I'd look hard at nitrous. Like you said, everyone seems to like it and it's by far the easiest big power adder available. Just don't get greedy and blow your motor. Also, nitro is cheap! If you try it and it sucks then you aren't out 4grand like with the other big guns. The only reason I'm using an sc is because I don't want my fun to ever stop when it's refll time. Have fun with your mods and let us know how they turn out ok?
