Weird Noise from brakes

Ok so i was getting off the highway today and when my car slowed to about 15 mph, i heard some weird noise from the rear end of my car when the brakes were applied, as i begin to pull out onto the street it sounded as if my rotors were rubbing but not consistent...when i got to the store there wear a very large amount of brake dust on the rear passenger side wheel, about 10 times more than the rest of the wheels, can someone tell me why this would occur and what the noise could possibly be? I was thinking maybe the rear brakes were shot, and rotors were warped. Someone else told me that my wheel bearing could be shot and causing my brakes to wear unevenly.any ideas?

year and miles on Maxima?

could be a bad caliper, when was the last time you replaced your rear brakes?

my guess would be a siezed caliper. Next time after you drive, go smell that wheel and see if it smells burnt. If so, that's probably your problem.

You could try taking it apart and regreasing the slide pins or just buy another. i used to get mine for my 99 max for like $50+core charge each at NAPA.

There was a slight smell from it earlier, not too bad but i could smell burnt brakes, and i looked at the drivers side rear and compared the two and there is almost nothing left to the pads on the pass side in the rear, id rather buy a new one or newer....i already got my eye on one used for 50 bucks, the calipers for the 2000 arent no 50 plus a core new...i wish they were
