Goodbye Maxima...

...hello Infiniti G35. Sorry if I sound a bit sentimental and gushy here, but I can't help it.

I traded my '03 Max for a 2006 G35x on Saturday. Overall impressions is that it's a great car with less options then my previous Maxima (Titanium Ed.) but also has 42k miles which is significantly better then 108k on the Max. I loved the memory seats, heated side mirrors, compass on the rear view mirror. I bought the Max and took great care of her (I can remember only yesterday when I was giving the Max a cleaning in 35 degree temperatures) so I was extremely sad to see it go

I hope whoever ends up driving the car takes very good care of my baby. She was a rare beauty and one of a kind. Bye bye Max. You provided me with some great years . See you in another life time.

You are correct--

Front-wheel drive, transversely mounted V6 engine, five- or from 2002 model, six-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, MacPherson struts in the front, semi-independent torsion beam suspension in the back, disk brakes on all four wheels.

Thanks Dave! lol

I see you have over 5k posts, so you probably don't remember helping me in the past, but I appreciate help you've provided before.

I remember letting my first Max go...wasn't fun. Enjoy the new ride, take real good care of her so you can make enough money when you sell her to have a good down payment on a 2011 Maxima.

Thinking that far ahead already are we. I can't wait to see what the future holds. I'll definitely be taking really good care of the new ride. The harsh northeast winters won't stop me from washing my car as long as water is running through the hose!!

Thanks Scott. I really do feel the G is growing on me. I'm sure once I have it tinted and after some other additions to the car I'll openly consider it my new baby.

hahaha just the thought of what you said gives me the chills, but I wouldn't mind as I'm sure it would look cool! I'm really hoping the next owner of the car will see how well the car was maintained and will continue the tradition of preserving the quality of the Max. Would be nice.
