Question about tires on stock 17" wheels on 2000 SE.....

Hey guys, just have a question about tires that come with 17" wheels on 2000 SE. I think they are Potenza tires.
Anyways, my question is what do you guys recommened for tire pressure front/back??

Also guys, I have Stillen RSB and FSTB on my car, I also got two brand new stock tires in the front because one of tire got damaged.
Problem is, when it rains, my car slides like crazy. I mean it is scary, just a little bit of moister on the road and I am scared to take corners.

Can that be that I have worn tires in the back and RSB that make the rear very stiff. Should I put the newer tires in the back and old tires from the rear to the front???

This car is scary to drive when it is wet outside.....

Replace them. My stock Bridgestone Potenza's sucked in the rain as well. I replaced mine with BFG Comp TA 235/45/17. Just look at everyones sig and that will tell you what tires they run on...

The PROTENDzas really are bad in the rain. They have decent dry traction, but are EXTREMELY noise when you go over bumps.

I would try and get new tires that aren't Bridgestones. I haven't had to replace mine yet, but I will definitely go with something else since it can't get any worse.

P.S: In a FRONT wheel drive car, you ALWAYS want the newer tires on the front.

Slippin' and slidin' in Seattle on them. Been trying to decide on upgrading, but I want to make the RIM decision first. Whoever is tallying the vote...they certainly do suck.

This is an old thread, but went through a lot of tire options on the stock rims.

I'll Add My Vote

They Suck A**!

I had Falkens on my Honda Accord and they were pretty good in the rain. I also got about 50k miles out of a tire rated to 30k. I may get a set next Spring when I get new rims.
