Engine Cover Logo Replacement TSB

I was just reading through the TSBs and saw there is one for the engine cover logo. I know my hamburger is looking pretty bad...the "chrome" sticker type covering looks like it's about to peel off. Does anyone else have this problem...and is this what the TSB is referring to? If so, I wouldn't mind stopping at the stealership and seeing if I can get a new one.

TSB's are not to be confused with recalls. They will not replace it for free. TSB's are just telling you that Nissan is aware of the problems.

Yes I'm aware of this...but my car is still under extended warranty. From what I understand, TSBs should be fixed for free if you're under warranty.

Is this bumper to bumper warranty? If not, then most extended warranties only cover mechanical/electrical problems. A logo is neither....worth a try though.

Yea it's worth a try. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and tried getting a new logo for free.

Mine was pealing. I pealed off all the chrome and painted it black. I've blacked out every bit of chrome on the car except for the front and rear hamburger badges so I didn't mind.

Every 5.5 gen I've seen has the chrome pealing from the engine cover badge.

Just call the dealer and see if it's covered under warranty. It would only take about 5 minutes to replace if they got the part under warranty.

I'll probably be paying the dealership a visit soon, right now I'm having a couple major issues with my car that I can't diagnose.

Engine Cover Logo

Tried to get my dealership to replace it for free under the extended warranty and they said " No Way ". Picking a new logo up on Monday. $30.00 here in Canada...I'm sure its cheaper in the States.

hey sooner, how were you able to just get the logo? I called DaveB and asked and I was told you have to purchase the valve cover too which is like $75 bucks.
