I AM PLANNING TO BUY A 2002 SE BY MARCH OF 2002, AND I AM TRYING TO GET MY STUFF ALL TOGETHER SO I HAVE IT READY.. I AM PLANNING TO BUY SSR GT-1 19" WHEELS AND I ALSO AM WANTING TO LOWER THE CAR.. I AM CURIOUS AS TO IF THIS WILL WORK OR WILL IT DESTROY THE WAY THE CAR RIDES.. IF ANYONE HAS A RECOMENDATION OF WHAT KIND OR SIZE OF TIRE TO GET PLEASE LET ME KNOW.. ALSO I WAS ORGINALLY WANTING TO GET HUGE CHROME RIMS, BUT I WAS TOLD BY MANY PEOPLE THAT IT WILL SLOW DOWN THE CAR QUITE A BIT, PLUS THEY ARE SAYING THAT CHROME GENERALLY WOULD LOOK GOOD ON A DARK OR GREY CAR.. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY KIND OF SUGGESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.. THANK YOU IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

 

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE THE SEARCH FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SITE TO....whoops...didn't realize I was yelling. Try searching the 5th gen forum. There are thread upon thread already had on this topic and the '01/'02 are no different as relates to the above topic.

 

Big heavy chrome wheel/tire combo = Slow car

I don't know, but anything bigger than what i have on the 2k2 now would just look wrong. Something lighter would be sweet but bigger? And chrome? ... personally i just think it looks bad.

Then again, to each his own.

 

SSR GT1 are really good rims. Lightweight, and they look great on the max. 19's will ride pretty rough... perhaps you should also consider those rims in 18"
