has anyone else experienced this ?!?!

Most of the time my ignition starts without a problem but one out of every 15-20 times the car will just not start at all or it will sputter a bit and then start.

Anybody else have this problem? or better yet does anyone know what this problem could be stemming from?

please help......i dont wanna bring it to nissan service just to have them tell me that there "doesn't seem to be a problem."

Thanks guys

actuallly it does seem to happen mosty when i shut the car off for a few minutes and then i start it back up again but sometimes it will happen after the car has been off overnight.

Are you saying that this is a normal thing?
can't be.....

I never had it happen on a cold start, only on warm starts..... it can't be normal, but

Yeah, that happens to me, too. I've often wondered about that. It always does start though, sometimes it just seems kind of sluggish

Yeah its happened to me SEVERAL times, and it ****es me off too. It' like, Ill be out with some of my friends, stop at a store, run in for 10 minutes come back out and start the car.....and all it does is sputter for about 5 seconds. It will sometimes catch and sometimes just die. It really blows.....

Happens to me once in awhile to - usually after a quick restart having the car off for a few minutes. But it has happened once or twice during a cold start.

Maybe it's normal...for Nissan!

Yea this happens to me sometimes. Some people say to turn it to ignition and let the fuel pump charge up for a few seconds, then start it. I haven't tried it though yet

hmm...

Have any of you guys gone to their nissan service center to try to find out what the cause of that is?

Or should I go and be the guinea pig?

Considering the quality of Nissan service I'd probably be wasting my time since it's likely they'll shrug their shoulders and say, "can't find a problem buddy". I'm sure a lot of you have had similarily frustrasting experiences.

F*ck it.......I'll go in some time next week and see what happens.
I'll keep you all posted.

woah..the start problem happens to me too sometimes. but it doesnt happen often enough for me to bring to the dealer you know? im afraid that if i go, itll startup normally (just like 8 outta 10 times). no point in goin. it never died on me or anything..just sputtered for like 1 or 2 seconds. even thas enough time to get me ticked.

It's happened only a few time for me. My 89 Max would start with virtually no gas pedal when warm.
I find the 2k needs a little pedal proding even when warm to start first time.
No biggy.
