NVIS Problem

First off have done a lot of searching and have found nothing that helps me. I have am 00 SE which wont start. Here is what happened. I left my keys in Oregon while i was in vacation and had to have them sent back to Utah where i live. In the mean time i thought i would try to disconnect the NVIS (nissan vehicle immobilizer system) and see if i could use my valet key with no luck.

So i finally got my keys today and now my car wont even start with the chipped key. When i first tried it the security light would just keep flashing at its normal interval even while cranking but when i used the valet key it would stay solid while cranking.

I checked all my fuses and found an engine control fuse that was out. I replaced that and now when i crank it with the chipped key the security light stays out for 5 or so seconds and then goes solid. with the valet key it goes immediately solid.

I have checked and double checked all the connections in the area and all the fuses. Is there something that i missed? do i need to get my NVIS reprogramed? It seems like it is recognizing the key. I need to get this figured out asap since i am having to borrow the car of a friend that is out of town for the week.

Is there possibly a way to bypass the NVIS?

the vehicle thinks that someone has tried to steal it...unfortunately its in lock mode and can only be rectified with nissan consult and using the NATS program card. time to take a trip to the dealer.

I had the same thing happen to me 2 months after I bought the car. I had to have it towed to a Nissan dealership and they replaced the NATS box and reprogrammed my keys.

Some guy at my dealership was having problems with that on a 99 max, and for some reason the dealership didn't know what to do, and i was talking with the guy, and he told me that they couldn't do anything... i even asked him if they tried replacing the NVIS modules.. lol

1)Try to escape from LOCK MODE(Happens if you try to start the car a few times without the chip talking to the ECU).
a.Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
b.Turn ignition switch to "ON" with WORKING key.(Do NOT start engine.) Wait 5 seconds.
c.Return key to "OFF".
d.Repeat steps b and c TWICE(total of three cycles).
e.Start the engine.

2)If 1) didn't work it MUST be towed into Nissan to have ALL the keys wiped and reprogrammed with the ECU.

search, guys.

Thanks jasonmax, started right up.

Does anybody know of a way to bypass the NVIS without going the DEI 555u route or placing a chipped key next to the unit permanently? I am looking for maybe an easy way to bypass the NVIS via a little re-wiring. I wouldn't want my car like this permanently but it would have helped in this situation so i could have driven with the valet key until my other set showed up.

there is no way, and no one would know how since this is a sensitive topic.
the only thing you can do is replacing the broken key.
