Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you had a good one! We'll be back to the grindstone come Monday and these are going ahead fullsteam! We just finished up our first batch of 3rd&4th Gen MAF adapters and are looking forward to making the 5th+ gen products now.

Just for those of you who are curious, here is a glimpse of the MAF adapter we made for the 3rd&4th Gens:

That looks awesome! Put me down for entire intake. What is the progress on 3" throttle bodies for 5.5 gen?

Great! We have acquired a TB to use for development, haven't gauged how many people might be interested yet.

Yes, production is going to be starting. Need to get a better idea now of who is interested.

We are planning on 2 products to start:
1) 3" Short ram intake (pricing not yet available)
2) 3" MAF Sensor Tube for those integrating into a forced induction system (~$90)

Please post up your interest and commitments towards purchasing either product.

Thread is locked for now. HTPerformance, we're very happy you've developed this product, but to sell through the site you need to be a site sponsor, generally speaking. I will link the site admins to this thread to verify that this is the current forum policy (it changes occasionally and there might be options other than sponsorship available for vendors).

Please contact this email if you're interested in sponsorship: autoadvertiser@internetbrands.com.

Also if/when this thread is re-opened or a new one is started for your product, it will be in the classifieds section rather than the open boards.

I'm interested in the short ram intake myself. What sort of filter are you planning to use with the kit?

I'm still interested. Would even do before/after dynos. Even though I don't know how much that information would help since I'm modified.

make sure you read the threads on here about that and make sure your setup is optimized for it or else it will actually be detrimental to your performance

Yes... trying to get our first Maxima product launched (3rd and 4th gen MAF product). We are finishing up the 5th-6th gen setups. Just need to get a couple local guys to dyno the prototypes for us now.

The adapter bolts on to the stock MAF housing allowing you to use a cone style air filter. The tube is 3ID vs the oem 3OD, and replaces the stock MAF housing and adapter.

The adapter we are making for the VG, VE, and early VQ is only due to the stock housing has the MAF sensor sealed into it. With the newer style VQ, having a bolt-in sensor, it allows us to make a full MAF tube or complete Intake, rather than the piecemeal intakes that the older gen's have had to deal with.

What is on our plate:
1) Finalizing Testing and Initiate Production of 2005-2009 Ford Focus Cold Air Intake (~2 weeks)
2) Finalizing Design and Prototype of 1998-2004 Ford Focus Billet Thermostat Housing (~1 week)
3) Finalizing Prototype and Testing of 5th/6th gen Intake Products (~4 weeks)

To accomplish the testing we need a couple local volunteers as I noted earlier. Their help in finalizing the prototype and testing will either speed up or slow down that timing estimate. So in the near term, we need to find local 5th and 6th gen owners who are up to the task!

We'll provide the dyno time, so if you haven't before it is a good time to get your car tested, and we'll give you a nice discount on the final product!

PM or email me at brian@htperformance.net if you are interested in volunteering.

Need to be in the New England area, we use Performance Dyno in Concord, NH.

Cheers,
Brian

timeline sounds good! the only thing I am kinda curious about is why other intake makers havent looked into blending in the MAF housing into the intake piping. What does the MAF housing consist of from the inside (plain hollow?) or is the housing at all important for the MAF itself?

I know for the 02-03 the MAF isnt even sold without the housing.

Most other manufacturers are concerned about speed to market, rather than making the best product possible. They cut corners. This is not how we do business at HTP. It is easier to use the stock MAF housing, and that is what they do. The time necessary to get the MAF mounting flange into CAD and properly spaced so that it is tuneable is not trivial!

The reason they don't sell the MAF sensor alone is that they are specifically made for the Maxima in that part. I believe we may be able to source new sensors alone directly from the sensor manufacturer if someone is in need.

Cheers,
Brian
