Weird engine start when warm?
On cold starts, my car starts on first crank. On warm starts, it'll start after a couple cranks but feels like it is "stalling" right before it actually starts. The cranking "sound" is not as apparent when warm, and always hear knocking sounds as if the IM is banging into the FSTB (does not happen on cold starts).
Could my starter be binding when warm? Car drives fine afterward, no CEL or anything. Battery is Optima Red, changed couple months ago.

#1 look to see if it's actually hitting the fstb which it shouldn't under any conditions unless you installed in wrong...which is hard to do.
one thing worth trying is but your key into the 'on' position for a few seconds before you crank it and see if it still happens...
good luck!

Always left key in "on" for few seconds, and the FSTB *might* be hitting is due to IM spacers. But still can't figure out the almost stalling when warm issue, idle and everything is perfect after, just the start portion -_-
i have this problem now also pump the brakes before u start it build up the pressure n it will start right away i dont y this works but it does
