How much can I get for my max

Was curious as to what you guys think was the MAX I could get for my Maxima... Below is it's details.

2002 Pearl White 6Spd Non-HLSD.
Full Black Leather Swap
96000 Miles (Mainly Highway)
Brand New OEM Clutch and Resurfaced Flywheel
Brand New OEM Front Bumper professionally installed and painted
Blacked Out OEM 6k HIDs
Alpine Type R Components and Coaxles
Stock Bose 6CD Changer
Pre-Ran System Hookup (Power wire and RCA's already wired to trunk all hidden.

The car was previously sickmax's from CTMaximas.org, he's my roomate and I payed him what he owed on his loan since hes done everything for me and is like a brother. I owe close to 10750 on the car, I'd like to get as close to that as possible.

I wouldn't pay anymore then $9400. NADA lists it at $9200 in perfect condition.

I would need to know the mileage and if it had ever been wrecked. sorry, I see the mileage. The best beat is to go to kellybluebook.com and enter the value for yourself. Always be as accurate as possible when selecting condition

Now here's my question, I have a loan out with my Credit Union... Can I sell the car, pay the bank 9400 and then give the car to them and pay the rest off monthly if I have a car of equal value to left amount?

For instance, say I sell my Maxima and purchase a Jetta or something with that money. Can I use that as my "loan item" so if I dont pay it they repo the jetta? (hope that makes sense)

You would have to pay the difference of what you owe at that time other wise the bank will not release the title the the new "owner."

I don't think you can do that. If there is a lien on your car, you do not have the pink slip in hand, therefore you cannot sell the car. The new buy would not be able to register it. This is assuming you plan to sell it privately. You should talk to your credit union to see your options though.

you can 'tack on' what you owe onto the new car you purchase. talk to your bank and they will be understanding assuming you have a consent to buy form from the person who wants to buy your max and another car lineed up at the saem time...depending on your credit obviously but if you got a loan for 12k+ and have been good it shouldn't be a problem. i'd guess you could get 10k flat at best. dealerships are obviously asking more but i think you could get 10k. but thats me and i havn't checked kbb.com i sure hope 10k as i have an 03 with 50k and hope it's worth 12k...at least...

Last year I paid $7600 for a 2000 Nissan Maxima that had 96,000 miles on it. He was asking for $8000 at first. Yours could go for $9000 easily at least here in Texas.

I paid $6000 for my 2001 SE two years ago. All stock with 95k. I thought I got a good deal. I paid $1000 more than the dealer was going to give the lady. Now nobody can fix it.

Wow. You are really upside down on that thing. I'd keep it for a while.
Around here (miami) you can sell privately a car for about $2k under mid private party book. Look on Craigslist and autotrader. See what comparable cars are going for.

Depends on how fast you want to sell it. A 6spd can work both for and against you. I think $9k would go fairly quick.... $10k to $11k and you may be sitting on it for awhile.
