A/C is making a weird noise
Ok so just a couple days ago, my A/C starting making a weird grinding sound, this sound usually coming out of far right (passenger) air vent. From the glove box area. Usually I have noticed it does this when the Recirculation button is on...has anyone else experience this.....jeez all this little problems all the sudden. Usually I can turn the A/C off and then turn it back on and it will stop, however last time this happened, I turned my A/C off and then On and it was still making this noise, I have the Automatic Temp Control...
My First guess would be the blower fan.

I have had the problem for a year now just havent gotten around to fixing it. I noticed if you keep it on Auto it tends to stay quite.

Mine made a ratteling noise so I pulled out the filter to find a bunch of leaves in there ratteling around I just turned it on with the filter out and all the crap blew out and the noise went away you may just have stuff built up in there thats making the noise it may not be the blower itself
^when you say your filter, do oyu mean your In cabin microfilter or whatever its called? How do you pull it out? On my Acura its in the glove box but its a pain to get out, I have not checked the Maxima tho...thanks
you have to take out the glove box to get the filter out

4 screws, release the yellow socket not unpluging it from the glove box, take off the light, and you are ready to play.
